Welcome
The Economics section of the MGU Book Club gathers reviews of books explaining how economies function, how resources are allocated, and how economic institutions and public policies affect households, firms, and societies. Its scope ranges from foundational theory to monetary economics, financial history, and modern policy debates.
Reviews examine analytical assumptions, the use of economic data, historical evidence, and the relationship between theoretical models and observed outcomes. They distinguish descriptive analysis from normative policy recommendations and consider whether a book’s conclusions follow from the evidence presented.
