Overview
Cinnamon Streusel Bread is a moist, sweet quick bread with a rich cinnamon flavor and a buttery streusel topping. Ideal for breakfast, brunch, or a snack.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- For streusel topping: 1/3 cup brown sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon, 3 tbsp butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, mix buttermilk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla.
- Stir wet ingredients into dry ingredients until just combined; do not overmix.
- Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.
- Mix streusel ingredients and sprinkle evenly over the top.
- Bake 50–60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool in pan 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
Tips
- Do not overmix the batter to keep the bread light and tender.
- For extra flavor, add 1/2 cup chopped nuts to the streusel topping.
- Serve slightly warm for the best taste and texture.
