Garlic and Herb Butter Quick Bread is a flavorful, savory quick bread that combines melted butter, garlic, and fresh herbs. It’s perfect as a side with soups, salads, or roasted meats.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional: 1–2 cloves minced fresh garlic)
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3/4 cup milk
- 2 tbsp fresh chopped herbs (parsley, chives, or thyme)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and garlic powder.
- Add melted butter and milk, stirring until combined.
- Fold in fresh chopped herbs.
- Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool for 10 minutes, then remove from pan and serve warm.
Tips
- Use cold butter for flakier texture if cubed and folded into dry ingredients.
- Fresh herbs give the best flavor; dried herbs can be substituted but reduce quantity.
