Cinnamon Rolls with Cream Cheese Frosting

Ingredients
- 1 cup warm milk (110°F/45°C)
- 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- â…“ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened (for filling)
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed (for filling)
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon (for filling)
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened (for frosting)
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, softened (for frosting)
- 1 ½ cups powdered sugar (for frosting)
Directions
- In a large bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
- Add sugar, melted butter, salt, eggs, and 2 cups of flour. Mix until smooth. Gradually add remaining flour until dough is soft but not sticky.
- Knead dough for 5-7 minutes until elastic. Cover and let rise 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- Roll dough on a floured surface into a 16x12-inch rectangle. Spread softened butter over the surface.
- Mix brown sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle evenly over buttered dough. Roll up tightly and cut into 12 rolls.
- Place rolls in a greased 9x13-inch pan. Cover and let rise 30-45 minutes until puffy.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake rolls for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- While rolls bake, prepare frosting: beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla; mix until creamy.
- Let rolls cool 5-10 minutes, then spread cream cheese frosting on top. Serve warm.

- For extra fluffiness, use bread flour instead of all-purpose flour.
- Rolls can be prepared the night before, covered in the fridge, then baked in the morning.
