-
HIJI WAZA — Control System (Structure Creation)
Hiji Waza focuses on foundational joint control of the upper limb. It includes progressive teaching forms that establish structural alignment disruption, balance control, and immobilization principles through arm-based mechanics.
-
NAGE WAZA — Throw System (Structure Resolution)
Nage Waza covers fundamental throwing techniques used to off-balance and redirect an opponent. These techniques convert structural disruption into controlled falls and directional resolution.
-
BOKKEN WAZA — Sword System (Blade Engagement & Attacks)
Bokken Waza represents traditional wooden sword training methods. It includes basic attack structures, timing drills, and distance management principles derived from classical sword engagement.
-
JO WAZA — Staff System (Mid-Range Control & Weapon Flow)
Jo Waza focuses on mid-range weapon handling using the wooden staff. It emphasizes fluid motion, angular control, and spacing principles applicable to both attack and defense scenarios.
-
TANTO WAZA — Knife System (Close-Range Edged Threat Response)
Tanto Waza covers close-range training against knife-based attacks. It develops awareness of timing, entry safety, and defensive positioning under high-risk short-distance conditions.
Supporting materials (lectures, training notes, and archived writings) are derived from these systems, but are not part of the core technical hierarchy.
