Course Description

This course provides a comprehensive study of algebraic concepts, covering the full high school Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 curricula with additional foundational topics preparing students for College Algebra and Pre-Calculus. Topics include:

Variables, expressions, and operations with real numbers

Solving linear equations and inequalities, including absolute value and compound inequalities

Graphing linear equations, inequalities, and functions

Systems of equations and inequalities (graphing, substitution, elimination)

Polynomials and factoring techniques (including special products, synthetic division, and the Remainder Theorem)

Quadratic functions and equations (factoring, completing the square, quadratic formula, complex roots)

Rational expressions and equations, radicals and rational exponents

Exponential and logarithmic functions, sequences, and series

Conic sections (circles, parabolas, ellipses, hyperbolas)

Probability and statistics basics (permutations, combinations, binomial probability, normal distribution)

Introduction to trigonometry (angles, unit circle, trigonometric functions, graphs, identities, basic equations)
