Overview
Darryl Baum, known in federal records as “Homicide,” was associated with Ivery “Peanut” Davis and became a target in the Cash Money Brothers retaliation campaign that followed the killing of Myron Hardy.
Murder
Federal prosecutors alleged that Damion Hardy targeted Baum because of his association with Davis. Baum was shot in the back of the head on June 10, 2000 near Quincy Street and Marcy Avenue in Brooklyn.
Popular-Culture Connection
Later reporting and statements by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson have identified Baum as the alleged gunman in the May 2000 shooting of Jackson. That allegation is not the basis of Baum’s federal CMB entry and should remain attributed rather than stated as a conviction or court finding.
