Overview
Ivery “Peanut” Davis was a narcotics trafficker operating in and around Lafayette Gardens in Brooklyn. The Eastern District of New York described him as one of the Cash Money Brothers’ major drug-dealing rivals during the 1990s.
Conflict with CMB
After Davis’s nephew Rumel Davis killed Damion Hardy’s brother Myron Hardy on June 12, 1999 during a turf dispute, federal prosecutors alleged that CMB launched a sustained retaliation campaign against Davis and his associates.
Death
On August 10, 2000, Davis was shot while sitting in a vehicle outside Club NV in Manhattan. The federal indictment alleged that the attack was part of Hardy’s retaliation campaign. Davis drove away after being wounded, lost control of the vehicle, and later died from the gunshot wounds; the crash also killed pedestrian Johan Camitz.
