Fredericksburg enters the current Crime Encyclopedia network through the federal investigation of Alberto Martinez. Contemporary reporting on Martinez’s 1991 arrest cited an FBI affidavit describing him as a liaison between a New York cocaine operation and dealers in Washington, Northern Virginia, and the Fredericksburg area.
Within the current research cluster, Fredericksburg should be treated as part of an interstate distribution corridor rather than as a separate Martinez headquarters. The evidence presently supports geographic distribution activity; it does not justify attributing every Fredericksburg-area dealer to one unified organization.
