Department Directory Overview
The Department Directory acts as a map and central navigational menu for MGU Academic Departments. A Department focuses on broad subjects like math or science. Inside each department you will find branches of the subject. These branches may at times be called divisions. For example The math department contains the algebra, geometry, and calculus divisions. Within each division are courses and within each course are structured lesson plans.

Taxonomy of Departments
The taxonomy follows as :
- Department (example Computer Science)
- Division (example Applied Computing Division)
- Course
- Lesson Plan for that course
Simple survey level courses may exist at the division level removing one layer of heirarchy:
- Department (example Math)
- Course (Algebra 101)
- Lesson Plan for that course (...)
Divisions may be considered interchangable with saying "branches". Departments will stack index pages in order of Division/Branch → Sub-divisions/Sub-branches → Sub-sub-branches. Not every Course will fall exactly under the given taxonomy although most courses sit within 3-5 levels of taxonomy. Typically harder courses are more compartmentalized.
